Looking for fresh solo dining downtown
I scored the worlds best catsitting gig in Soho on Sullivan and Houston, and will be staying there for another week or so (rather than the usual Bklyn) - and am taking the week off from work. In celebration of my summer vacation, and as a reward for my good luck, I would like to take myself out for a nice dinner. Any recommendations on something downtown - seafood? - fresh and delicious, quiet and chill? Not oppressive for the young, female solo diner?
For the first time in my life, I am almost being adequately compensated at work for my brilliance. So. 3 out of 4 dollar signs would be a reasonable upper limit for price.

i think blue ribbon sushi has gone downhill. you will in walking distance to pearl oyster bar - sitting at the bar is comfortable there. also close is salt on macdougal, which generally has fish on the menu and has communal seating.
