I am planning a fall wedding reception for about 100 people - any ideas near, but not limited to, Elkins Park?

A couple of years ago we attended a Bat Mitzvah reception at the Abington Art Center in Jenkintown, and it was lovely. The setting was very pretty, as well as unique. I'm sure there were at least 100 people in attendance. I don't know if they work with their own caterer, or if you can bring in a caterer of your choice. I'd say it's worth exploring as an option.

I'm not sure if they still do wedding receptions but I had my reception at Sugarloaf in Chestnut Hill and it was absolutely beautiful.

I've never been there but the Cedarbrook Country Club allows non-members to hold their reception there and apparently they've just remodeled.

I wouldn't say that Cedarbrook is near Elkins Park (it's about 25 minutes away).

In Cheltenham JC Melrose Country Club had done a phenomenal job in remodeling their clubhouse/outdoor reception area.

Oops...meant JC Melrose CC. Sorry about that, glad to hear good reviews on the remodeling.
