Lunch in Santa Barbara

Would anyone kindly recommend a lunch spot in Santa Barbara preferrably as close to the SB Zoo as possible. Price fortunately not an issue but a good wine list is. Thank you in advanced.

Definitely consider Stella Mares - at the Bird Refuge right across from the estuary by the zoo. Lovely spot, very good menu and sound wine list. A local favorite in an old historic French Empire style mansion with an elegant greenhouse dining annex Modestly priced for Santa Barbara - look up their website and see if this is what you are looking for. http://www.stellamares.com/

Cafe del Sol is also in the same area at the Bird Refuge, Mexican, stiff drinks and more modest.

Both places are a direct approx 15 minutes walk along scenic the bike path walkway along the edge of the bird refuge from the zoo.

Paradise Cafe is located closer to dowtown SB, but has the best burgers -- oak grilled -- bar none -- around. It's my personal favorite.
