After fourteen years in the Valley of the Sun, my SO and I have moved to San Diego. I just wanted to thank the Chowhounds of the Southwest for all the good ideas over the years. Without y'all, I don't know that we ever would have tried as many great restaurants as we did. Here are the restaurants I found through Chowhound that I am particularly grateful for:

Cowboy Ciao
Barrio Cafe
La Grande Orange Grocery & Pizzeria
Richardson's
Lon's at the Hermosa
Tradiciones
Delux
Morning Glory Cafe at the Farm at South Mountain

These were great additions to our regular rotation of Four Peaks, Carlsbad Tavern, Classic Italian Pizza, Pita Jungle, and El Zocalo. All will be missed muchly.

Best wishes to all of you, and I'll keep up with the Southwest board for return visits. I'll also keep reading the blog of the estimable Seth Chadwick and look forward to seeing more developments along the light-rail line at Silverbear's blog (a wonderful idea, btw).

Let me know if you need any assistance on the San Diego board! Be well!

Thanks for the kind words and for sharing your accumulated knowledge. My travels usually take me east rather than west, but if I ever need restaurant tips for San Diego, I'll remember that you'll be on the California board. Maybe by then San Diego will have its own much-deserved board.
