Is there much good Shawarma in Minneapolis?

Falafel King just opened their Bloomington brance on Lyndale. I haven't tried the shawarma, but if it's as good as their falafel and grape leaves, it's worth a visit. Keep in mind that I'm talking only about the Bloomington branch.

since we are loosely defining our meat, i suggest the black sea restaurant on snelling. Great turkish, one of the best restaurants in the area. It is in the gyro/shawarma vein.

OK, only one of the three is in Minneapolis proper but my go-to places are:

Franklin Halal Market at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Bloomington Avenue.

Beirut Restaurant on Robert Street in West St. Paul.
