Butcher for tartar in the Mile-End area

Hi,

My girlfriend and I are doing this crazy raw-food diet and 4 days in I desperately need some meat so I was planing on making steak tartar for dinner tonight. I was going to go to Chez Vitos for my steak, but they are closed for Vacation until the 13th of August.

Can anyone recommend another Butcher in the area where I could get some dependable meat for tartar?

If it has in fact reopened and if you're not adverse to paying for quality, Anjou-Québec will certainly fill the bill. Other than that: Marché Latina?

Anjou Quebec was slated to reopen this week. Have they managed to meet the deadline?

If not, Latina's is a good second choice while Vito's is closed.

They were open yesterday. Lots of helium-filled balloons. Didn't have time to pop in but it looks like the layout is slightly different and the renovations aren't yet complete.

Stopped into Anjou Quebec for my confit fix (damn I've missed that place!). The place has a more spacious, sterile quality. It's a step up from the old look, which I found a bit on the dark and gloomy side, but other than the brighter lighting and slightly more spaced coolers, it hasn't changed much.
