Trying to find pheasant...

Anyone know of a store or butcher shop around Glendale/Burbank or the SF Valley where I can get pheasant?

If I'm in the SFV and I want something even the slightest bit unusual, I make a bee-line for 99 Ranch.

I've seen it at Bristol Farms (S. Pasadena). Call ahead. If they don't have it they can order it for you.

          Pheasant?

          In the S. F. Valley? . . . (a.k.a. - "The Forbidden Zone").

Well, if you can believe their window painting, they have it:

If Gelson's doesn't have it, they can probably get it for you.
I know they have frozen in the North Hollywood store
            4738 Laurel Canyon Blvd.
            Valley Village, CA 91607
            (818) 906-5743

I think I saw some in the freezer case at 99ranch market.

Jim's Fallbrook market can order one and have it fresh by the next day
            (818) 347-5525,
            5947 Fallbrook Ave,
            Woodland Hills, CA

I bought a (frozen) pheasant from the Glendale Whole Foods about a year ago if I'm not mistaken. It was tasty.
