My Favorite Paris Guide Book
Since recommending the little self published guide by Michael A. Bernstein yesterday, (BernsteinParis@aol.com), I have been looking at the guide again and am convinced it deserves its own thread. I find the reliable restaurant recommendations excellent, and the guide includes lots of helpful information on every aspect of a Paris stay, based on Berstein's own annual visits. Food is a major interest and free restaurant updates are emailed once you buy the book.
I emailed BernsteinParis@aol.com and he replied that The Paris Guide with three updates costs $14.95. $18 in the U.S. including postage ($20 California because of sales tax) - and I think about $25 to Europe.
I have a huge collection of guides but one of the things I especially like about this little book is that it is personal and based on his actual experiences so particularly helpful.
