former Platanos space: Tim & Craig from Redwood City?

Construction is wrapping up at the former Platanos space at 18th & Guerrero (northwest corner, just across 18th from Tartine). It will be opening in weeks as a breakfast-and-burgers sort of joint.

A worker there told me it is owned by two Greek brothers named Tim and Craig who have been out of the business for a while but used to own a place in or around Redwood City. He didn't know their last name. Does this ring a bell for anyone? Curious what we should expect.

Well they have a nice sign out at this point. I took a look inside and it appears that they pretty much retained the Platanos decor but the bar area looks more like a diner now. I hope they do this right; maybe like Toast on Church St.

I was told that owner of the building is letting his son open a restaurant in that space and that its his first.
