Hi All,

I'll be in LA this weekend for a wedding and looking for a good place to eat Sunday brunch/lunch either close to our hotel or LAX. We're staying in Century City on Avenue of the Stars. Can you suggest some "must-eat" place near us? We love all types of food and price isn't a big deal.

Thanks!

Try Bread Bar and Clementine for Lunch. La Cachette for dinner. in Century City.

    Near by: Apple Pan

You are also not too far from westwood, culver city, beverly hills for good eats

Close to LAX, for good comfort food, try Pann's. [If you're intent on trying In'n'Out, it's close to LAX too].

A good place for dinner would be Upstairs2.

If you are interested in ethnic, try Shamshiri for Persian.

If you'll head over to Westwood, you can get brunch/lunch at Napa Valley Grille or the Gardens on Glendon.

John O Groat's is a great casual diner with typical diner fare done well, but it can get crowded during lunch hours, so go either early or late. It's maybe 3 minutes from your hotel. Just take Ave of the Stars south, make a right onto Pico, and it'll be a little ways down on your left.

I also second the Apple Pan if you're in a burger & especially fries mood (and apparently tuna sandwiches there are great so I've heard). It's been in LA for a long time, everyone sits at the long horseshoe counter, and the guys working there wear the little folded white hats like from the 50s. They open at 11am.

Not the most original, but always a good meal at Houston's in the Century City Mall (now called Westfield Shoppingtown Century City blech).
