Apple Pie in Ice Cream?...Where?
Monday, a friend and myself decided that we wanted ice cream, and I suggested my favourite place Il Gelatiere (yes, yes, I am an addict...we've all read that post...let's move on shall we?). I completely forgot that they are closed on Monday, and thus began the great search for the next best scoop.
My friend heard from someone at her work that there was a place in the East end of T.O. that apparently takes ice cream and apple pie and mixes them together. We did a mad driving search, but as the hour was getting late we ended up at St.Clair ice cream...which features what seems like a generic version of Baskin Robbins. It was ok, just nothing special.
But my friend put the bug in my ear, and know I need to know where this place is. Apparently, it is not just apple pie, they also do a variety of different pies, and they also make their own ice cream. So, if anyone knows of this mythical place, please let me know...I would dearly love to try it.

Further east, there's Slicker's in Bloomfield (Prince Edward County, just south of Belleville). They make an Apple Pie ice cream which contains the remains of real apple pies. I haven't been to Ed's or Hollywood in Toronto, but Slicker's makes the best ice cream I've had outside of Italy. Worth the drive, if you're in the area.

Not exactly pie and ice cream, but... Zippie Cafe on Queen West at Roncesvalles does these amazing waffles, and as topping she takes ice cream and various flavourings and cuts them together to serve on top of the waffle. We had an apple sundae in which she combined apple pie filling, vanilla ice cream and graham wafer crumbs, all chopped together. It was so good.

You may want to try Ed's Real Scoop ice cream, 2224 Queen St. East (at Victoria Park in the Beaches).
He makes everything from scratch, using all natural ingredients, real fruit, and yes, he does carry an "apple pie" ice cream. I'm also a big fan of the creme brulee, and chocolate and peanut butter. It's just an awesome place. Follow the smell of the homemade waffle cones and you won't miss it!

re: LikeTheWolf
Ed's is an awesome spot! I am a big fan :)
Just so you know Ed's is located just at Beech and Queen (West of Victoria Park). Hungryabbey is right, your main option is on street parking. IF you really want to walk down Queen there is a Green P parking lot just by Kew Gardens and it is about a 10-15 minute walk away.
If it is the apple pie specifically that you are interested in I would call to see if they have it. He does tend to change his flavours from time to time and some of them are entirely seasonal.
Enjoy!
