Hardwood Lump Charcaol - Detroit

Looking for 100% hardwood lump charcoal (NOT the COWBOY Brand sold at Lowes) in the Detroit area. I've got a new smoker and have been reading various BBQ blogs stating that the brand I have been using (COWBOY) is junk. Anybody in the know ?? Thank You in Advance.

I use the cowboy brand and the royal oak brand. near as I can tell, they are identical. Maybe I get more heat with royal oak on steaks, but that might just be a quantity thing last time I did steaks

Not sure what brand - but I know (in MSP) Trader Joe's sells a 100% hardwood lump - at a very reasonable price. Usually stacked along the wall by the doors/checkouts. I know there are TJs in the Farmington Hills area.

i usually buy royal oak brand. just picked up two bags at nino salvaggio for $6.99 each.
