Logan Airport Food
I hesitated to start this topic, since most of us are interested in the good, not the bad.
We flew out of Terminal E recently. Travel and security took longer than the flight itself, but that is a topic for another board.
We had planned to eat before boarding, since Legal's and Summer Shack had restaurants on site.
Houlihan's is the only sit-down restaurant in Terminal E, and it was exceptionally bad. We had Reuben sandwiches and the bread was beyond stale. I asked for mine without the corned beef, but when it arrived it had virtually no cheese and no sauerkraut. DH had it with corned beef and was the first to comment on the bad bread, and he is easy to please. The "seater" was surly and the server was wonderful.
No one expects much of airport food, but as a last destination en route for international (and local) travelers out of Boston, Terminal E can do much better.

For future reference, there's a Legal's outside of security in Terminal C, an easy walk from Terminal E. Most of the other options are inside security (LTK and Summer Shack, among others, in Terminal A; Legal's on the US Airways side of Terminal B; the new food court being build on the AA side of Terminal B), so they only work if you're flying out of that terminal. For those with a car and the time for an off-airport meal, Santarpio's is a great option, too.

re: Blumie
If you're going to go off airport, there are lots of good choices in East Boston which, sadly, I haven't explored enough. Rincon Limeno is a good choice too, and you can get takeout and eat it at the airport if you don't have time for a sit-down. Presumably similar with all the taqueria/pupuseria options in Eastie as well.
Blumie, do you know what is planned for the AA food court? The current setup has got to be one of the worst, food wise, of any major area at the airport except, perhaps, for the AirTran nook.

I had an acceptable salade niçoise at the LTK in Terminal A a couple of weeks ago. Well cooked tuna, overdressed, pleasant atmosphere for an airport, pretty good beer (Sam's summer I think). I'd not make a special trip, but it wasn't bad compared to most airport food. Low bar I know but certainly better than what you'd get ON the plane, even in domestic "first" class.
