Casa De Pedro in Watertown

It's a wonder this place isn't more crowded on weekends for lunch. Prices seem reasonable and food is tasty (venezualan). We hit it on tropical/humid/rainy Saturday, so the food was appropriate as well.

The fried pork tapas drizzled w/ hot sauce wasn't worth it...pork was a bit too dry.

The steak w/ venezualan spices was tasty, but the chicken w/ the mango/apricot sauce was much tastier. Both came w/ rice, friend plantains, and yucca fries.

Service was great which is a surprise given what folks have said. We had a friendly waiter that was helpful and friendly.

The room itself seems a bit more upscale than need be as you can see from the photos, but it does look nice and is a comfortable place to hang out, including an outside dining area, so I hope it survives this cursed location.

    1. Are the prices lower at lunch? I was very disappointed with the price/goodness ratio when I was there for dinner several months ago.

The entrees described about were $8.50 which seemed reasonable.
Dinner entrees looked like they were around $16 from the menu...the tapas we tried was from the dinner menu (you can ask if they'll cook dinner items for you at lunch).
