stroing veggies

So I am finally going to be adventurous and check out a local farmer's market, but I need some tips on selecting and storing the bounty. What veggies should be stored in which way? Should some be refigerated and others not? Should I buy some stuff that's not quite ripe and let it ripen? Thanks in advance!

  1. Click to Upload a photo (10 MB limit)
  1. Onions and tomatoes - never in the fridge
Most veggies don't ripen... fruits do.

    1. If you live near the market buy only what you plan to use in the next few days... that's the advantage of going there...everything is fresh.. otherwise ask the sellers about storage...they will be happy to share the info and will know best about what they grow
