Can anyone recommend a place to get some good cold soba noodle dishes in LA-downtown/midtown or Sawtelle area? Thanks!

In downtown LA, you can find a good (not great) bowl of soba at Rikyu, in Weller Court.

Yabu on Pico near Bundy is very good. They make their own soba noodles. I love cold soba. Thanks for the idea - now, I know what I'm having for dinner.

There is also Yashima on the 2nd floor of the Olympic Collection on Sawtelle. They also have good udon and I enjoy the combos...I def need to go back soon to refresh my memory.

I seriously beg to differ. Flaccid and limp.

Sanuki, in the Mitsuwa food court at Venice & Centinela. You can get the cold soba (or udon) with a delicious sesame sauce, among other choices.

Mishima on 3rd near La Cienega is pretty good. It's similar to Yashima in the Olympic Collection.

                  Place Yuu
                  2101 Sawtelle Bl.

It's at the northern end of the minimall on the corner of southeast corner of Sawtelle & Mississippi.

You could try Ma Dang Gook Soo at 869 South Western. Right across from the K-town galleria.

                    Cash only?

i am a big fan of zaru soba.
Rikyu is decent, Yabu on pico is my first choice around LA.
Ichimi-an and Inaba in torrance are very good.
