  1. In downtown LA, you can find a good (not great) bowl of soba at Rikyu, in Weller Court.

    Rikyu Restaurant
123 Astronaut E S Onizuka St, Los Angeles, CA 90012

    1. Yabu on Pico near Bundy is very good. They make their own soba noodles. I love cold soba. Thanks for the idea - now, I know what I'm having for dinner.

      1. There is also Yashima on the 2nd floor of the Olympic Collection on Sawtelle. They also have good udon and I enjoy the combos...I def need to go back soon to refresh my memory.

        1. Downtown:
          T.O.T. Teishokuya of Tokyo (213) 680-0344
          Suehiro (213) 626-9132

          Mid-City West

          Itacho Japanese Restaurant
7311 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036

          T. O. T. Restaurant
          345 W 2nd St, Los Angeles, CA 90012

          Suehiro Cafe
          337 E 1st St, Los Angeles, CA 90012

          1. gonpachi has excellent cold soba.

134 N La Cienega Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90211

I seriously beg to differ. Flaccid and limp.

            2. Sanuki, in the Mitsuwa food court at Venice & Centinela. You can get the cold soba (or udon) with a delicious sesame sauce, among other choices.

              1. Mishima on 3rd near La Cienega is pretty good. It's similar to Yashima in the Olympic Collection.

                1. Place Yuu
                  2101 Sawtelle Bl.

It's at the northern end of the minimall on the corner of southeast corner of Sawtelle & Mississippi.

                  1. You could try Ma Dang Gook Soo at 869 South Western. Right across from the K-town galleria.

                    Cash only?

                    1. Both Wako restaurants in Korea Town serve Cold Soba as part of their combo meal with Tonkatsu.

Wako Dongkasu 3377 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90010
Wako Dongkasu 2904 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90006

i am a big fan of zaru soba.
Rikyu is decent, Yabu on pico is my first choice around LA.
Ichimi-an and Inaba in torrance are very good.
