PHX/Chandler/Tempe: Lunch tasting menus?

  • 3

Hello everyone! I hope you're all staying cool these days :)

I've wanted to try wine dinners (although I'm not much of a drinker of alcohol) and tasting menus for a few years now, but I haven't had a chance due to schedule conflicts and, I'll be honest, some pretty price-y menus for dinner (I'd love to try Atlas Bistro, Binkley's, Caffe Boa, Sea Saw, and Rancho Pinot to start!). So, I would like to ask if there are lunch tasting menus out there in the Phoenix valley? Also, has anyone tried the wine dinners at Caffe Boa, Grimaldi's (Chandler), 98 South, and Peter's Euro Cafe?

Thank you in advance for your replies!

Thanks ciaogal!! I've always wanted to dine at that culinary institute (after having a taste of a duck app during a Scottsdale artwalk a couple of years ago), and at these prices, I'll be sure to dine there every week :) Hey, anything to help in the education of future chefs!!

Thank you for your help and for future suggestions!

p.s. perhaps a Chowhound gathering at L'Ecole is in order!!

    2. T Cook's does Five Wines for Five Dollars during summers at lunch. Not a tasting menu, but they choose five interesting selections that pair well with their menu. Richardson's also drops all of their wines by the glass to $7 before 4pm. Nice for lunch or an early happy hour on a light workday. And Postino's wines by the glass are all $5 from 11 to 3. A glass of prosecco and their bruschetta is one of my favorite lunches.
