Another vote for the Alpine! Lunch there is pretty decent too--German inspired sandwiches, salads, sausage plates etc. One note of caution on the desserts: Some, such as the bread pudding, are homemade and wonderful. Others come from the Sysco truck. The menu descriptions make it pretty easy to tell whats what.
Also, some of the best food you'll have in the area will be in Sturgis--every pie baking grandma in the area will set up for a church or school fund raiser of some sort

Definitely can't miss the Alpine. We try to go at least twice while out there for bike week. If you aren't stuffed on your steak, lettuce wedge and potato, have dessert - they are fabulous too. Plan on waiting to get seated, but don't worry just grab a cold one and have a seat on the front porch and enjoy the people watching.
