Does anyone know a bakery or store in So Cal where they sell mini burger (slider) buns? Desperate!
I've always thought that the little pan de sal rolls from Red Ribbon Bakery would make great slider buns.
If you like the sweeter rolls, try the ones by King's Hawaiian.
I've also thought that sweet rolls would make good burger buns, if only because we're already adding sweet elements to the meat (in the form ketchup and other sauces as well as caramelized veggies).
I've had sliders made from these and yes, it was very good.
Definitely... King's Hawaiian rolls are perfect.
I was just at Juliannos Italian Deli on Hawthorne & Torrance, they had these great little rolls that would be perfect for sliders and they had 3 kinds.
I know that La Brea Bakery makes them for some of the restaurants in town, although I haven't seen them at the bakery. You could call and see if you could order them, though.
Trader Joes sells "Silver Dollar Rolls" which might fit the bill if you slice them in half.
The OvenJoy brand potato-buttermilk dinner rolls sold at many of the 99cStores work just perfectly !
Katella Deli in Los Alamitos dinner rolls (egg bread) would be good. Also Polly's Pies dinner rolls are very soft and would be yummy.

Where can I find good slider buns in LA?
Brioche slider buns near Pasadena?
