Custom wedding cakes....far west suburbs

icebox521 Jul 29, 2007 03:50 PM

Hello everyone, My only daughter informed me she will be getting married in less than 3 months. Coming from a very small rural area southwest of Chicago-(sandwich/plano area)
we are limited on bakeries or anyone that does custom cakes. The most popular "cake lady" in our area is unavailable for my daughters reception date. I am looking for suggestions for someone in the area that does an extremely nice cake.Your recommendations will be most appreciated.

I had my own cake made by :
      Gigante bakery
      140 S Bolingbrook Dr.
the cake was gorgeous and delicious! People who normally are not big cake eaters were amazed.

These three bakeries in Joliet have their cake fans:

Milano Bakery, S. Chicago St. (Italian)
          Joliet Bakery, Plainfield Rd. (Polish)
          Baklava Plus, Essington Rd. (Lebanese)

          Good luck.
