Kam Man Market - Edison, NJ?
Has anyone been to this place? I have found in it online but not sure the extent to what they offer- ideally looking for a place selling octopus.

I've been there, and can report that it is one of the larger Chinese markets in the area, fully stocked with pretty much all your Asian cooking needs. I don't particularly remember octopus, but they did have a large fish market complete with tanks of live fish.

It's by far the largest and (I think) the best oriental grocery in the area. If it doesn't have octopus or other things you want, your next best choice is the Hong Kong Supermarket at the very end of Oak Tree Road in Plainfield.

They'll have Octopus...that place has everything.

Where exactly is this market located?
Thanks.

It's between US Hwy 1 South and Old Post Road (so it in the triangle formed by the two roads, which meet at the Shell station), sort of behind two strip malls- the one on Old Post Rd. has a Bike Shop on the near end and a Dunkin' Donuts on the far end, the one on Rt. 1 has a Chinese food take-out shop and bakery on the end closest to the Kam Man Market. If you're coming from Rt. 1 N, you'll take the jug handle around the Boston Market.
Did you ever check the Hong Kong Market on Rt. 18 in East Brunswick (the mall that formerly housed Crazy Eddie's on the other end) for octopus? They have a huge fish selection, too.

Yes, I went in there and was actually disgusted by the seafood section. It had the worst smell imaginable and the ones I was familiar with -scallops/squid looked rancid. That was not the place I was willing to buy any seafood from- kind of freaked me out and turned my stomach.
Thanks for the info on Kam Man- I think I know where you are talking about. Its actually more on route 1 than it is on old post.

And don't ask about their Kosher section!

I made the mistake TWICE, in 2 different Asian markets, buying "fresh"
fish from the tanks.......Thank you, but I'll stick to American fish markets
where they depend on freshness to sell their products

We've been to both Kam and Hong Kong market and I can tell you I wouldn't dream of buying fish from the tanks, especially from Kam...the stench was BEYOND. Talk about leaving oneself open to a major parasitic episode! Blech.
