I know you can find it at a couple of the grocery/green grocer stores on Gerrard East. However, I haven't yet found the equivalent of fresh-made, it's always been the packaged stuff (which frankly doesn't compare to the texture of homemade paneer). If you have the time, look up a recipe online and make it in advance, it's really easy!

House of Spice in Kensiington has a few choices of packaged stuff, it is frozen, I don't know if that does too much to it but I had good success making little grilled bites as apps and saag paneer one night...although, if it is easy to make that sounds like the way to go...

In case you do go the frozen route, House of Spice in Kensington Market has it. i've never tried it so I can't say if it's any good.

I've found it in the little convenience/grocery stores on Parliament Street, just north of Dundas. It's fresh, not frozen, and I found it to be serviceable, if bland. (One of the stores has more than one variety...i'm sorry, i don't remember the brand names.) I also once got it at Whole Foods, but that was at least 2 years ago and they were discontinuing it, so i doubt you'd be able to get it there.

Like the curry leaves post, I got it once at the indian store in peanut plaza (North on Don Mills past Fairview Mall).
