Preserved Lemons in DC/Montgomery Co?

Does anyone know where I might find preserved lemons in DC or SS? I need them for a recipe, and Whole Foods was a no go. I remember hearing about a Middle Eastern specialty store in Rockville but cannot remember the name. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

You may be thinking of Yekta, which is behind On The Border by Joe's Noodles on Rockville Pike. Also can be found at Thomas Market in Wheaton on Univ. Blvd. between Viers Mill and Georgia.

Yes, The P St. Whole Foods usually has a glass jar of preserved lemons atop the cheese counter. You may want to call before you go 202-332-4300 and ask for the Specialty Department or the Cheese Department and make sure they have them.

I like to use them in chicken or fish that's in a saute pan with some kalamata olives. Good times.

Thanks so much. SS Whole Foods, Cheese Dept. had no idea what I was talking about, but I plan to hit P St. next!

I see them all the time in the cheese section at the Logan Circle Whole Foods.
