Bacaro or Local 121, which is better

Any feedback which of these new restaurants has better food/atmospher for a special occasion? My favorite restaurant is Chez Pascal, but we were just there a few weeks ago, seconded by La Laiterie, but they don't take reservations.

You might want to do a keyword search for Bacaro on this site....it's getting decidedly mixed reviews.

Don't know if your occassion has passed, but...No comparison is really possible between the two. Bacaro is a fine dining restaurant where the food is really the star of the show. If the person being honored at this occassion is a "foodie" Bacar is a unique and awesome experience. The more people you go with, the more different wonderful things you can try. 121 is a beautiful space and the food is good, but in a different league that what you will experience at Bacaro. They will take a reservation, by the way, for 6 or more,
