californian looking for a bakery in Boston, ma
i am a culinary student (pastry chef) about to start my externship and i want to got to Boston to do it so i wanted to see what are the best bakeries you have to offer thanks for the help

You'll definitely want to try to get in to Flour. (The bakery, not actual flour. Although you'll need to get into that, too. I'll stop now.)

#3 Flour (South End/South Boston)All excellent but I really "heart" Clear Flour. There is a reason people queue up 10 deep on Saturday mornings (rain, sleet, snow, sun) to load up on the delights inside. They are a first rate bakery with delightful breads and tarts!

I would suggest contacting the Culinary Guild of New England (culinaryguild.org). There used to be a Professional Pastry Guild of New England but I think that has folded and most of their members have joined the Culinary Guild. When you contact them, if you can get contact info for Lee Napoli that would be great. She has a vast amount of experience and is a very nice and helpful person.
