Where to find (good) Petit Fours in the LA area?

I was wondering if anyone knew where one could find good petit fours in the LA area? By good, I mean obviously tasty, but not dry.

Someone just gave me some petit fours from Buttercake, they are so pretty, I wish I had my camera. And delicious! I think Buttercakes does a great job with their cakes, beautifully moist. But some of their frostings are a bit too sweet for me.

I liked Buttercake's as well... grabbed some around Easter - they dressed them up as little bunnies and chickies... my kids downed them and so did I...

The best I've had here are from Thee's in the Original Farmer's Market at Fairfax and 3rd. They don't have the super smooth fondant icing of some, but they are delicious and pretty.

Frankly, I like the ones you can get sometimes at Gelson's Viktor Benes Bakery.

It's been awhile but I was also impressed with the quality of Victor Benes -- I had them at the original branch on 3rd Street -- You could always check one out before buying to see if they were up to snuff.

My last batch from Victor Benes was around Christmas from the MdR store. They were very good - maybe a little sweet for some - but I am assuming that most folks who crave petit fours are looking for something sweet...

Also the OP might try contacting Caprice Pastries on Pico, across the street from Trader Joe's. Jean-Louis is a master of all things baked...
