EATING IN SANTA FE
Going to be in Santa Fe for 2 days next week!
Help! Most recent postings on restaurants (NM cuisine and just MUST try) seem to be mostly 2 years old. We're from NYC so probably don't want to go all that way for Italian but any other suggestions are welcome.
Thanks!

Bobcat Bite and Horseman's Haven and better yet Dave's Not Here are hamburger joints to rival Shake Shack in quality. Compound and Geronimos are the SF version of Jean Georges or Daniel. Cafe Pasqual is Cafe Gray, and Baleen is Le Bernardin - well almost. Nothing else in the US is Le Bernardin.

Just returned from a vacation to New Mexico including Santa Fe. Ate at Geranimo's and Pasquals and outside of town at Rancho de San Juan. Like Geranimo's a lot for food although all the waiterstaff is running around is a bit distracting. I would suggest eating late (and by that I mean 8:30 or 9) to avoid the craziness.
Rancho de San Juan was also a great meal and if you can manage to stay overnight it would be a wonderful food destination and then hike off some of the calories in the morning. -
