Holy foodie day Batman!
My brother is in from Portland so we had to do it up right.
First to Momofuku Noodle bar at noon for Momofuku ramen and snap peas, then a brisk walk down to Katz's to share a pastrami sandwich. A few more blocks down for some palate cleansing gelato at Il Lab and then back towards St Mark's place for a falafel at Mahmouns.
After a much needed few hours respite, it was off to Devi for the RW week dinner, plus onion/parm kulcha, three drinks, and an extra Emperor's Morsel for dessert.
*edit - for anyone who says that Devi is not a wonderful choice for RW, please explain why not in detail. There were many choices for all three courses and it was a steal at only $35 pp. Sure we had lots of extras and went more than twice that, but for a normal meal it would have been fine.*
I am stuffed, fluffed, but not rebuffed as I try to find my fat pants ;o)
I went to Devi for Restaurant Week a couple years ago and remember getting very tough, overcooked tiger shrimp and lukewarm food (I can't muster up more details at this point, but I think those explain it pretty well). But it might have been an off night, or, off meal. Perhaps they've improved, but I haven't had a chance to go back yet, for RW or otherwise. Maybe it's time for a second visit.

seal, I'm a bit disappointed. You went to Katz's and Il Laboratorio but didn't do the rest of my (in)famous LES eating "tour"?! Shame on you! lol

Lucy, Emperor's morsel -- quoting from Devi's website -- is "crispy saffron bread pudding, cardamom cream, and candied almonds." De-licious!
