Good/Cheaper Eats near 34th or Lunt-Fontanne Theater

I’m going to the Lunt-Fontanne Theater tonight to see B.a.t.B. (7/25) and wanted to know where is a decent place to eat that won’t cost an arm and a leg? I will meet my GF at 34th street so if there is another decent place near 34th I’ll go there.

Thanks for any help.

  1. There are literally hundreds of restaurants in those areas, so a few specifics would help Hounds narrow things down and make appropriate suggestions.

    What cuisines do you prefer?

Since everyone's idea of what "not an arm and a leg" means can differ substantially, what is your per person budget? And tell us if that figure includes alcoholic beverages, tax & tip.

Any cuisine... I want to try to keep it under $40-$50 for the two of us (we don't drink so wont spend there).

Trattoria Trecolori, on 47th St., b/t B'way & 8th Av., is a favorite of mine and many other Hounds. The homestyle Italian food is well-prepared. Pastas are especially good, and the tiramisu is seriously delicious. Portions are fairly generous, so if you don't have huge appetites, you can share and keep the costs down. Friendly, efficient service. Very attractive surroundings.

Enjoy the show and Buon Apetito!
