Specific Italian resto request

I think that it was on this board that I recently saw a reference to an Italian restaurant, but I can't find the posting. Here's what I remember. It's an informal place, not much attention to stemware (might even be tumblers?), run by a couple from Italy, absolute old-school cooking, and, for some reason, I keep thinking that it's on the Danforth. And, it was referred to with great affection. Help, please. I and a couple of kitchen rats are jonsing for that exact thing.

Gazie, 'hounds!

And foodyDudey wins the the fiver! It was Quattro Regazze I was trying to recall. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. So many restos... so little time.

      Cheers!

I would love to read your review. I'm in the neighbourhood and only found out today (thanks to chowhound) that Europe Planet had undergone the restaurant make-over and been transformed into this Quattro4Regazze, according to this thread

I too would be interested hearing if the place is any good? Looks interesting....
Never noticed it before, although I must admit I don't venture out much east of Donlands.

Just to let everyone know, if all goes according to plan, the rats and I are dining tomorrow night. I shall report back, or no pangolin I.

Was it the RM-transformed Europlanet now called Quattro4ragazze? There was some discussion of it in the past.

The only italian place I can think of on the Danforth would be 7 numbers...they use the glass tumblers. Would love to know if there is some other place I don't know about though.

Could you be thinking of Seven Numbers on the Danforth?

No, not seven numbers, but thanks for the response and the links.

Big Ragu also came to mind for me. Or maybe Regina?

Sounds like Trattoria Gianni e Maria on St. Clair...
