large area restaurant in Delray for a reunion

I am organising a reunion and need a large but not too expensive restaurant which can cope with up to 80, early November

I have been to see Bostons who can cope with us all. I also went to 32 East which has an upstairs room but it is going to be approx $60 a head plus drinks plus tax and gratuity.

any suggestions? Dada is too spread out outside and too small inside. I loved Cabana but we have to take over the whole restaurant and that is going to be very expensive.

I was going to suggest Boston's before I read your post. I'm glad you checked it out! I think that it would be a great idea for your reunion, since it has the upstairs for dinner and the downstairs for the after-party music and dancing... (I have a special place in my heart for that restaurant!!!) Anyway, good luck in your search!

It might not be what you are looking for, but Bob and Ellie's 50's Diner, on Federal Hwy, has a separate room for "affairs". I've never been there but I do know both Bob and Ellie personally and they are nice people and might be willing to help you with either their place or suggesting somewhere else. When my company has events like this we usually go to Boston's Upstairs (to echo previous posts!) so I can't help more than that. You might be able to get one of the rooms at Sundy House but that's probably even more expensive than 32.

this is proving to be tough, it needs to be walking distance from Atlantic as some are staying at the Colony and some at the Marriott and most wont have cars. hmm.

Have you tried the Marriott itself? Last time I ate there, they had pretty great food. The same cannot be said for Boston's. I've been to a party in the upstairs and the food was way sub-par. Of course, I hate Boston's food all together, so I'd never willingly choose to eat there.

Marriott could be a plan, thanks.

How about Gol! It's a Brazilian steakhouse on Atlantic Ave, right next door to the Colony? They have great food and great service and I think could accomodate your party of 80.
