so i hear a restaurant called jinpachi in west hollywood has dessert omakase? mmmm, i'm intrigued. what is this?
and where else can i get dessert omakase?
Dessert Omakase at Jinpachi is made by Taka's (the Chef) wife. She was a former pastry chef at Spago and makes a great assorted plate, usually consisting of some chocolate, an ice cream, perhaps a sorbet, profiterole, cookies, fruit. It's also a great presentation and well worth saving room, it is rarely Japanese although sometimes Japanese influenced. (that's not a bad thing considering rarely is a dessert memorable in Japan)
The sushi is good too, and the bar is very comfortable with usally very good service.
