Vietnamese Restaurant Essex

pastafreak Jul 24, 2007 06:16 AM

My wife and I heard that the Vietnamese restaurant in Essex is a real find. Has anyone been or heard anything. We have been told it is this little gem with only a few tables, and pictures on the menu's of each of the dishes. We are always looking for rare find restaurants, and think this might be one?

*Please* try this place and report back. My husband and I were up from southern VT earlier this summer and happened to notice it while driving by, but alas it was closed. We also noticed some Vietnamese markets just north of downtown Burlington. When I posted earlier asking about ethnic restaurants, none of the regular chowhounds seemed aware of these places. I'd love to have a review before our next trip north.

I've been there several times, and it's your basic serviceable Pho shop. Nothing fancy, but it's the only place for a loooong ways with Pho (since the place in Shelburne closed).

I have also been there a couple of times, and agree with kaszeta. It's fast, inexpensive and good. Basic is a good way to describe it... it's not a place I would recommend as a fabulous dining experience in the area, but if you like Vietnamese, it does the trick.

It's in a small cluster of buildings on the west end of the fairgrounds.

Must be new to the area, huh?

105 Pearl St, Essex Junction, VT 05452, a.k.a. Rt 15.

The Vietnamese place is just west of there.
