D'Amore (Pizza Connection-Sherman oaks)

Stopped by the (original) Branch on Magnolia and Coldwater for a snack around lunch time today.
WOW! Better than ever! Somethings had changed since I was there last about a year plus ago.
NEW OWNERS, which have been there for about a year that still buy all their ingredients from the Original Owner (I think Joe?) . The Quality is still great and very consistent crust doneness, SOMETHING MOZZA STILL CAN'T DO RIGHT!

Anyway the Pizza at D'Amore was very good and is still the best Boston Style Pizza in LA.
Dropped by Lamonica's tonight before Echigo. Their Pizza is still lifeless and boring.

For NYC style we still like MULBERRY'S Pizza on Cannon in BH or JOHNNIE'S on Little SM. Vito's is good also.

D'Amores is really good stuff... I go to the one on Winnetka and Sherman Way, the crust is just a notch below Vito's. But the new contender in the Valley is Red Balls Rock and Roll pizza. The best sauce I have ever had!
