anywhere for a tasty lunch?

Sure! For everyday affordable, I might choose Gingergrass, a Vietnamese place (owned by an American) at the corner of Glendale and Silver Lake. The interior gets quite noisy when full but the food is healthy and satisfying.

Another choice is Dusty's, though I haven't been there in a while and it receives mixed reviews. I liked the Scheherezade Salad (tend to like salads for lunch), a Mediterranean-style mix of things like chickpea salad, eggplant salad, greens, etc. Very pleasant atmosphere in my opinion.

Around Sunset, lots of people enjoy Madame Matisse; Alegria also has some nice salad specials with grilled fish and really great agua frescas. Those are both near Lucile.

Blair's serves all day now, but I don't think the food is as good at lunch as it is at dinner.
I like Dusty's for lunch--charming little place, good food. For a more casual "bite", Madame Matisse has very good food. It's small and tends to get crowded during regular lunch hours.
