Chowhounder cake recipe? with berries

  • 3

About 2 or so yrs ago , maybe less, there was a prolific chowhounder who posted a lot on the home cooking boards. I am thinking about a cake specifically whereby you put berries/fruit in the bottom of the pan and pour the batter over. Once done, pop out of pan and sprinkle sugar on top? It seemed like a terribly easy recipe even for a non-baker like myself

Anyway, i have about 4 cups of fresh NJ blueberries and was thinking of making this cake. (even tho i don't figure i need all 4 cups)

Any help?

Yes, King that was it, and Tartiflette, I will print out yours too - maybe i'll be inspired to make one each! thanks so much you guys!

    2. ...or maybe this one? It seems about right, other than the fact that the fruit goes onto the batter rather than vice-versa.
