Tiramisu in St. Paul?
At my dining room table. Short of an invitation there, you might try Zelo's (lovely, light with the strong espresso flavor I like). La Grolla if you like your tiramisu more creamy, less espresso-ey. I've heard that Pazzaluna's is good, but I don't have first-hand knowledge of it. And Patrick's Bakery apparently has the most visually interesting tiramisu around. I remember that Dara M-G described it in such a way in one of her reviews that I couldn't tell if she was enchanted or appalled. Truth is, repeated disappointment and irritation at renditions made by people who were clearly bored out of their skulls at having to slop together yet another tiramisu has kept me from ordering it much at all in recent years. I'll be interested to see what others have to say.
