Croissants at La Villa Fine Foods in Port Credit
I know there has been much discussion about which Toronto area bakery produces the best croissants, and I have enjoyed many a croissant from Rahier, Clafouti, Patisserie la Cigogne, Patisserie d'Or in Oakville, Zane Patisserie -- the list goes on.
This weekend, I happened to be out in Port Credit and tried the croissant at La Villa. I have to say, I was shocked at how delicious it was. Full of buttery taste with moist, stretchy layers on the inside and a fantastic crispy, flaky exterior. It was fabulous!
Are their croissants always like that? Has anybody else had a La Villa croissant experience (good or bad)?

I have been to both Le Delice & Le Villa many times, they are both great but unless a lot has changed Le Villa has a much larger selection then Le Delice, and I would much rather go to Le villa, they have wonderful croissants! Im curious as to what specific bad experiences you have had flipkeat?

La Villa is a good local bakery for their breads, pizzas and we like the croissants too. They are not close to Rahier or Patisserie la Cigogne or Cafe d'Or in Oakville but when we pick them up early they are often still warm and very tasty (Chocolate and Almond are our favourites and the plain ones are good too). I also agree that Le Delice has lovely pastries and interesting pie/flans and bread pudding. It's a bit further to travel for us but worth it.
