Making pickling salt

Hi all, I looked around a bit and didn't see anything similar, is it possible to put kosher/table salt in the food processor to make pickling salt, or will the presence of the iodine throw everything off?
I've done the same thing with granulated sugar into powdered, just wondering if they're similar like that.

  1. The iodine would make the pickles dark and the pickling liquid sort of cloudy, but wouldn't affect the taste or texture of the pickles. Kosher salt (which is non-iodized) or non-iodized table salt is a better choice and you can put it in the food processor to get the finer texture.
