Tasting Room - tables too tight?

Quick question. I have reservations for the tasting room on elizabeth street. I hear the food is good, but a couple of people mentioned that it's pretty tight. I'm curious, anybody go? Are the tables that squished together? If they still have the East Village mentality and put 2 person tables next to each other, touching, then I will cancel my res. Someone please opine. Thanks!

  1. I went there a few weeks ago on a Tuesday or Wednesday and it was not very tight at all since the place was half empty, if you are going on a weekday i don't think it would be a problem space wise, i personally think that while the food and atmosphere is pretty good, it is kind of overpriced and non memorable for what it is, the service is very good, though. If you are going on a busy night it can be awkward if you have a couple chatting loudly next to you, but i have been to more tightly packed restaurants downtown.
