Need Homemade Tortilla Help

Ever since eating here, I have been trying to make my own corn tortillas at home. Although they are far, far better than store-bought, they never come close to the soft, chewy moistness of the ones at Texanita. Does anyone have any idea or secret to a great homemade corn tortilla?

    Fresh masa ground less than 12 hours ago.

      I don't disagree with Romanmk, but if fresh ground masa isn't an option I've found that I need to add more water to the masa than the recipe on the back of the bag calls for. I'm not sure how much more--I just tried to make the texture of my dough look like what the woman in the taco stand had. I also try not to press them too thin.
