Nice lunch outside-Quincy, Milton, Canton area??

jackbrock Jul 21, 2007 11:02 AM

Taking some business associates to lunch. Looking for a nice but casual spot w/i 20 minutes drive from Canton. Thought that some place on the water would be good. Looking for a place where we can have a pleasant lunch and chat while they are in town. Thought of Capt Fishbones in Marina Bay but do not know how it is these days. There must be some other spots around that we should try. Would be nice on the water but not necessary. More important than on the water is a good nice lunch in a pleasant outside patio setting. Know that fellow Chowhounds will come to the rescue.

The Venezia Restaurant in the Port Norfolk area of Dorchester ir right on the water, serves nice Italian food, and is within 20 minutes of Canton. The views of Boston from this place are great.

I have not yet been this year, but the Inn at Bay Pointe is a great on-the-water location in Quincy. Be sure to sit on the deck (the interior is "meh"). They have a menu of reliable options to please everyone (even a Hammersly's/L'espalier/Lucca fan such as myself--but who can afford that every day!) and just a terrific out door spot.

You can definitely rule out Milton unless you want to go to Starbucks.
