Hi. I want to treat my boyfriend to a special romantic and fun dinner, but would like to stay in the East Village, maybe Lower East side. Any recommendations?
If your idea of romantic is dimly lit and cozy (or slightly cramped), a lot of restaurants in the area will fit the bill. In E Vill: Barbone, Cacio e Pepe, Degustation. In LES: Azul Bistro, The Orchard, Apizz, Tides.
Apizz will get you in the mood!!
My boyfriend and I went on our first date to Lucien, a French bistro on 1st Ave (and close to 1st St) and I thought it was very romantic...busy and bustling, but romantic.
