what's the best buffet brunch in Orange County now?
Looking for a new place to have Sunday Buffet Brunch...can anyone tell me about Spaghettini, or Chomps or is Sutton Place gone? Talk buffet to me please!

Wow-- those are three very different brunches. I find Spaghettini's virtues or convenient location and live jazz. Not food. But the fazz brunch is quite popular.
Chomps is afforable new wave sushi in a loudish, festive setting.
Sutton place is long gone-- it's a Fairmont Hotel these days-- new ownership and F/B staff. Can't speak for the buffet.
Best Hotel brunches tend to be Ritz Carlton, Hyatt HB, Hotel Laguna, St. Regis Monarch Beach.
Beyond hotels, good choices are Bayside, Ramos House Cafe, TAPS, The Cannery, even Royal Khyber near SCPlaza does a nice one, if you're up for Indian.

re: OCBites
For instance, at Sutton Place a few years ago, we enjoyed, especiallly the Floating Island in individual cups, the sushi, the different items that you normally don't find and now they are gone...sigh. We even like the El Torito Grill in Fashion Island..you can't beat the price for excellent quality and yumminess. Or this might date me, Alfredo's at the Westin at South Coast, with the harpist and excellent buffet that was beyond words!
