Is this the same people that own the SB location. That was a Saturday Hangover favorite of mine in college.

Ditto, ditto, ditto. We spent the day on Santa Rosa island with Island Packers and come home to this amazing treat. The food, ambience, service, management, martinis, and PRICES were great! A real find in town!

Heard on Saturday they may be opening one in Ventura Harbor; wasted no time; went to Ventura Harbor Sunday saw sign open at 6pm went that same night....let me just say this has been my favorite restaurant in SB when I lived there for 15 years...and let me say how much I missed it....so when I had my dinner Sunday night...I was eating and almost cried at the dinner table it was so good and just as good as the SB location...this location is much larger and has a pretty large outdoor patio....just don't tell anyone about it 'cause then we won't have to wait in line like in SB.....think I'll go there for lunch today ;-)

Its been in the works for a while, and we have been waiting patiently. All the dates they promised to open on were missed, but I really didnt mind because it was worth the wait.
I really hope that bringing something like Brophy's into the Ventura Harbor is a first step in similar restaurants making bold moves like that. We need more places like that, and given the crowds that Brophys had on the first unadvertised night, I'd say there is a demand for it as well. Way to go Brophy's!
BTW...we had clam steamers (a little sandier than I'd like, but still awesome) two cups of chowder (as good as I remember in SB) and we shared a teriyaki ahi that melted in your mouth.

Too late; went there Sunday...the lines have formed ;-( but they did have my FAVORITE cashew encrusted Ahi with the tarragon cream sauce...
