Santa Rosa Chowhound Get Together?

I remember reading quite a while back (a month?) about a possible Santa Rosa get together. (I've been reading the board for a while, but I just started posting.) I think Eat Nopal started the discussion. Did anything ever happen with that? I also remember that the Chowhound team wrote something about not using the boards to discuss the details of such plans. So if anyone has any info., I'd appreciate it if someone could contact me at [e-mail] Thank you!

I'm from SF and don't know much about the Santa Rosa restaurant scene, but I was up there last weekend and stumbled into Willi's Wine Bar and thought my meal was absolutely fantastic. Foie Gras poppers, filet mignon sliders, pulled BBQ Duck on a white bean puree, an incredibly reasonable wine list (glasses of Turley zin for 7 bucks), friendly and extremely knowledgeable service, a solid cheese plate, and a really nice salad with the thickest pieces fo applewood smoked bacon you could ever imagine. Anyway, I'm probably preaching to the choir but wanted to butt in on this little Santa Rosa party and at least throw my two cents in.

When you say La Texanita, do you mean the truck that's parked on Sebastopol Rd or is it Antojitos La Texanita the colorful sit-down restaurant down the street? I would love to join. Just let me know! Thanks!

Unfortunately... Rey Pakal was postponed... however a new date will be set.

In addition... I think a Santa Rosa potluck picnic at Spring Lake would be great. There is also interest in a La Texanita chowdown.... above all keep tabs on Kare_Raisu... the guy is prolific... really gets around. Any place he nominates I second.
