Does anyone Know of any decent Thai places in OC Around the UCI area? I've been working out here for about 2 years now and me and my friend/foodie buddy just realized we got nothing when to comes to decent Thai food. Does anyone have any suggestions?

There's a decent Thai place in the Albertson's center on Quail Hill, just off the 405 at Sand Canyon/Shady Canyon. It's called Thai Bamboo Bistro. I've had a few good meals there, although I can't remember exactly what I ordered. It's not knock-your-socks-off fantastic, but it's good enough to satisfy a Thai craving

There is a Thai Spice on the corner of MacArthur and Main, east of the 405. Fulfills my cravings for pad see ewe pretty well.

Ah.. Brings me back to the days of college cravings when I went to UCI a few years ago. Thai Spice actually loads on the heat in the pad thai--super spicy, super good, super cheap. Can't beat those three things as far as college food runs go!

Bamboo Bistro in Corona del Mar - not too far - does Thai & Vietnamese. The Vietnamese is better, but we do lack good Thai restaurants around here!

If you work near here and are thinking of lunch, then Thai Spice or Bamboo Bistro would work. But if you're thinking about dinner and have more time, it is really worth the drive to Thai Nakorn in nearby Stanton (Beach Blvd @ Chapman).

Agree on Thai Nakorn. I live in Irvine and I routinely drive over to Stanton just to have that Thai food.

Closer to Irvine, and freeway easy, is Bangkok Taste.
It's located in the Big Lots strip mall, just south of the 22 freeway, on Grand.
We've been pleased with everything we've tried.

Thai Kitchen was going to be the place I was going to recommend. The owner is nice and the food is good

I tried Kitima yesterday which is in an office park I believe the parking is at Gilette and Macarthur in a garage on the right side if coming from John Wayne. there are 2 other branches in San Diego and La Jolla. had the bamboo curry (yellow curry), spring rolls, and the dessert. I ordered mango ice cream but got sweet rice with mangoes. I thought that was a separate dish and I'd get mango flavored icre cream. oh well. maybe I was wrong. the egg rolls were good. I did like the sauce that came with it. better than duck sauce. now the main dish was decent. I'd say they needed more sauce. Anyway I need a guide to Thai curries. perhaps I just don't like this kind. I got the tofu to replace meat. I got it to go near closing time. didn't take long. I was the only one there. the host was very friendly. that left a good impression on me.
