Udupi is the area's best South India, and it has a few Chinese influenced dishes on the menu, including a dish called Gobi Manchurian -- a Chinese / Indian cauliflower dish. Beyond that, I don't know of anything that is Indian / Chinese.
Udupi is in northern Tempe -- not too far from Chandler, but even closer to Chandler in southern Tempe there are also Priya and Pasand.

Herr Bear got all three that I know of. That's the WHOLE Phoexix metro area, it just so happens all of the southern fare is in the southeast valley. The rest of the urban sprawl only has Northern style extablishments, to the best of my knowledge.
Read the comments on Tina's Ethiopian Cafe here within the past couple of days. That's also some wholesome and filling veggie oriented food.

re: silverbear
In the same mall as Pasand is Little India, a tiny grocery that serves chaat. Entirely vegetarian (discounting the yogurt, of course). I've had extremely good and cheap meals there. Chole bhatura (chickpeas in sauce with fried bread) is very good as is the fried mashed potato patty served in a bun (can't remember the name). The dishes may be more Uttar Pradesh but it is very tasty.
Not a date place though!
