Atlanta on Sunday night
My husband and I are probably going to be in Atlanta on Sunday night, and we're looking for a good recommendation for a special dinner. I know many places are closed on Sundays, so any recommendations for something that's open and good?

We too would agree: Eugene is one of our favorites in town. Lovely, quiet, elegant setting. One of the few places in Atl where you can dress up and not feel out of place. No shouting to be heard. Wine list not huge but very interesting and the manager/sommelier is delightful. Also--Sunday is Southern Food night! The chef, Linton Hopkins, does New American with a Southern spin and on Sundays does a separate menu of updated classic southern dishes. Can't miss.
Other favorites like Bacchanalia and Floataway are closed on Sunday. Would also highly recomment Woodfire Grill. It's several notches more casual, not the decor of Eugene, but the chef, Michael Tuohy, is a wonderfully creative cook in the Alice Waters traidtion--emphasis on fresh, local, seasonal. The other hallmark is the huge wood-fired grill and oven. Try the incredible pizzas--Italian imported flour, artisanal mozzarella, etc. Also a big, very diverse and fun wine list AND on Sundays, a selection of bottles at half price!! Another can't miss.
