Anyone familiar with this interesting liquer? I am wondering whether there is any information available on the mysterious ingredients? Tried some this evening at a holiday party, with a ginger ale chaser... it has a sort of strange de menthe taste, has a sort of Calvados digestif quality, and made my lips numb! I've searched online and found nothing helpful... I'm really curious...

It sure makes you feel better when you are seasick! I have had it once after a bountiful meal and just recently had it on an Atlantic crossing. Very comforting!

Fernet is an outstanding finish to a large
meal. Indeed, it's probably the best (and
only) cure to overeating I know.
It is an acquired taste, but worth the effort!

Hi Julia. Since your query is not specific to the SF Bay area we would ask that you put up your question on our General Topics message board, (see link below to take you there) where these types of questions are handled. Please, no more replies here as we will be removing this from the SF message board as soon as Julia has been able to put up her new message on the General Topics board.

Thanks for everyone's cooperation.
